The Impact of Leadership and Digitalization Towards Business Resilience with Networking Capability as a Mediator

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to examine the effect of Leadership and Digitalization with mediating networking capability to increase business resilience especially for telecommunication industry with fixed broadband services. Research data was collected from the executive management of telecommunication technology fixed broadband providers in Indonesia via a questionnaire survey to obtain 100 valid questionnaires for analysis. The position of participants are the manager in their company. This study analysed the overall model fit and hypotheses through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling.
Findings - The results reveal that digitalization has a positive and significant effect on Business Risiliency. The result also indicate that Networking Capability also make the impact to Business Risiliency and the leadership is only small effect to the Business Risiliency. The finding provide practical foundation for the organisations networking capability to be framed by leadership and digitalization to enhance the business resiliency.
Originality/value - The results of empirical testing in the field of managers in the Telco company indicate that the Networking capavility mediates the leadership and Digitalization with Business Resilience. This study also reconceptualize the leadership as a factor of business resiliency and digitalization as a new factor.
