Abstract
Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) at private universities in LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta, Indonesia. This research is a survey study conducted on permanent lecturers of private universities at LLDikti Region III Jakarta, Indonesia. The unit of analysis is the individual. The research instrument was built based on the operationalization process of each construct that was adopted and developed from previous research. Data were collected using an online questionnaire. The results of the study were described descriptively and verified. The verification analysis uses a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect of leadership transformational on job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. However, when mediated by job satisfaction, transformational leadership had no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, and job satisfaction had no effect on organizational citizenship behavior. The results of this study add to the limitations of the literature and provide empirical evidence of social exchanges that occur due to the transformational relationship of leadership, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, as well as contributing to the government in improving the extra behavior of lecturers in LLDikti Region III Jakarta.
