Abstract

The biggest challenge in the world of education in Indonesia is creating the best environment for the academic community to carry out the function of the Tridharma of higher education, the current phenomenon looks so sad when many universities are unable to keep up with the flow of changes that occur in all lines, information technology, social, economic and one that should not be forgotten, strategic decisions from strategic leadership born of a well-structured strategic culture. All of this must be the locomotive for the emergence of higher education based on risk analysis and social resilience by becoming a model for an example for a group of universities within its scope.
This study aims to analyze and examine the relationship between leadership strategy and organizational culture as an intervening variable for organizational change at the Muhammadiyah University of East Nusa Tenggara. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study was the academic community of three Muhammadiyah universities and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square. The results of this study are expected to show that leadership strategies and organizational culture have a positive and significant relationship to organizational change at Muhammadiyah universities in East Nusa Tenggara.
