THE INFLUENCE OF PROMOTION OPPORTUNITIES AND PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT-SAFETY ON TURNOVER INTENTION (STUDY ON ART KABANJAHE MINIMARKET EMPLOYEES)

Abstract

This study reviews perceived promotion opportunities and work environment - safety affecting turnover intentions on ART Kabanjahe employees because ART Kabanjahe employees experience an increase in employee turnover every year. Futhermore, there are inconsistencies in the results in previous studies regarding the effect of job promotion opportunities on turnover intentions and the work environment, the intention to re-examine the possibility of promotion and the environment on turnover intentions. This research aims to find out: 1) The Effect of Job Promotion Opportunities on Turnover Intention of ART Kabanjahe Employees, 2) The Work Environment against Turnover Intention of ART Kabanjahe Employees. This research is a study that uses a quantitative approach. The sample from research were employees of ART Kabanjahe, with the collected 62 employees. Data collection uses questionnaires and interviews while data analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed that: 1) The opportunity of promotion of the position had no effect on Turnover Intentions in ART Kabanjahe employees. 2) The work environment affects turnover intentions in ART Kabanjahe employees.
