Development of Card Game Media to Improve Students Arabic Language Ability Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract This study aims to produce a card game media as a result of the development of Arabic learning media at the junior high school level. The developed media is in the form of cards, and as a supporter of Arabic textbooks for junior high school grades VII, VIII and IX containing teaching material from each of these levels.The research method in this study was designed with a research and development approach with reference to Borg and Gall^s theory which says that there are 10 steps in the development research cycle. However, given the small-scale research, which is developing Arabic learning media in the DKI Jakarta area, this research only reached the stage of getting the final product, namely the prototype of the Arabic learning media that was developed.The study began with survey research to obtain an empirical picture of learning Arabic as a basis for supporting rational empirical strategies in designing the development of card game media in learning Arabic in SMP / MTs. The product of this study is a card game media that contains teaching materials for learning Arabic in grades VII, VIII and IX at junior high school level (SMP / MTs) with 3 card game models: (a) Arabic domino games- illustrated and not, (b) the game combines images with words that show their meaning, (c) the game arranges words into perfect Arabic sentences.
