The need analysis of interactive media as teaching materials of Indonesian language learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of needs of students and teachers in learning Indonesian for teaching materials using interactive media. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis to obtain data as research needs. The subjects in this study were students and teachers of junior high school 17 Muhammadiyah Ciputat Timur as many as 30 students and 2 teachers. Based on the results of observations, interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires. The teaching materials used in the 17 Muhammadiyah Ciputat junior high school are Indonesian language textbooks, as procedural text materials are still not integrated with current technology. This study indicates that students face problems and teachers of SMP 17 Muhammadiyah Ciputat Timur, such as 1) teaching materials that still use textbooks, 2) students and teachers need teaching materials in interactive media, interactive media are free online applications. Which is best illustrated as an interactive teaching material, 3) digital interactive media e-books can be an alternative strategy in interactive learning at the 17th Middle School of Muhammadiyah Ciputat Timur.
