Using MMS (Metacognitive, Monitoring, Summarizing) Learning Model with Web-Based Learning Management System

Abstract

This study aims to develop MMS learning model (Metacognitive, Monitoring, and Summarizing) which has been applied to previous research and has been evaluated from the results of its application. The development of the learning model will be implemented on a web-based basis. From the results of previous research on the application of MMS that the teaching strategy has a positive impact in supporting the improvement of reading skills. The author wishes to apply the results of the evaluation of this learning model in which through this research, problems regarding teaching students^ reading comprehension can be answered. To collect data, the author will give a test first and then give treatment to the research sample using MMS and those who do not use MMS. After the data is obtained, it will be processed and described according to the test results at the beginning and at the end of the research sample.
