The Impact of Paradox Mindset and Servant Leadership on Innovative Behavior (a) University of Indonesia, Abstract Innovation is a key factor needed in strengthening the competitive position of a banking institution. There are increasing demands for a bank to innovate, especially in this digital era. Innovative behavior (IWB) is a crucial factor for organizational innovation, including in the banking sector. This study analyzes the relationship between paradox mindset of the employees, servant leadership, IWB, and the mediating role of thriving in the relationships between paradox mindset, servant leadership, and IWB. Individual innovation is accompanied by paradoxical tension. The adoption of a paradox mindset, which reflects the extent to which individuals embrace and are energized by tensions, can help people deal with tensions and innovate. Service is the main attribute of servant leadership, which makes this style of leadership suitable for a service organization like a bank. Data was collected from 296 banking employees. The data were analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Findings reveal that paradox mindset and servant leadership positively affects IWB. Thriving partially mediates relationships between paradox mindset and IWB. Thriving also fully mediates the relationship between servant leadership and IWB.
