Designing PeVe Apps to support EFL learners learning English Phrasal Verb a) Language Center, Bina Nusantara University, Indonesia Abstract Most Indonesian students have started learning English as Foreign Language (EFL) since they are in elementary school. Hence, comparing to other foreign languages they have learned, their English mastery is a lot better. However, most students find it difficult to compose sentences or paragraphs containing phrasal verbs. There are various online apps available that provide the users to learn preposition, but there are still limited ones which provide them some materials to learn phrasal verbs. This encourages the researchers to design an application to support EFL learners, especially university students, in mastering phrasal verbs to compose sentences and simple paragraphs. A questionnaire is distributed to 150 students in two universities- the Chinese Department students at BINUS University, Indonesia, and International students at Cheng Shiu University, Taiwan learning EFL. The data is analyzed qualitatively and the result is presented in three parts- the first is the discussion of the current online prepositional learning applications. The second is the concept of compiling the proposed apps and the third is the designing of the apps which contains game-based learning on phrasal verbs. The conclusion of the research indicates a need for input from the users to the proposed developed application for future improvement.
