The Impact of Open Innovation in the Healthcare Industry 1School of Business, IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia Abstract This paper aimed at studying the impact of open innovation in the healthcare industry of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines. The author considered the global health issue which is the COVID-19 pandemic in conducting their study. The world is experiencing a global health crisis where the healthcare sector has been affected its operation as to the outbreak of the corona virus. However, open innovation must consider open innovation as one of the instruments to improve and enhance the capability of the healthcare industry. The findings represent how people from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines the awareness of how their respective government is handling the pandemic and their level of awareness about the impact of open innovation.
