The Analysis Of Motorcycle Users Needs For Additional Its Luggage by Using Kansei Engineering Method

Abstract

The increasing of motorists^ number in Indonesia has increased rapidly, the number of motorist in 2019 was 112 771 136. The number of motorist and the variety of bikers is some of the reasons for the growth of the motorcycle community. This is related to the hobby of the motorcycle community, namely traveling long distances or what is commonly called touring. In touring activity, bikers need additional bags to carry the required equipments. A search for patent inventions related to additional baggage designs shows that various generations of designs still need to develop designs according to the expectations and needs of potential users. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the expectations and needs of bikers for additional baggage. The method used in this research is Kansei engineering. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the needs and expectations of bikers users regarding additional baggage. From this study, 10 Kansei words were obtained which were then grouped into 5 factors of user needs.
