Abstract
This research is a case study on science and biology learning at the elementary,junior high and high school levels . Interest p enelitian is to Determine : 1). To determ ine the effectof the application. of LKS on learning outcomes in aspects of knowledge based on education level , 2). To find out the effect of implementing LKS based on the learned an applied . 3). Learning to encourage the formation of an understanding that is more meaningful that makes the student as a learner , who understands how the meaning oflearning ( Learninghowtolearn). 4 ). Results of tests trying respondents student class XSMA 4 Muhammadiyah Langsa amounted to 80 , 28 % ( category very good ) and the qualification is not a revision . Basedon the research concluded that the development of materials teaching biology SMA Contextually basedon the p otentialof thelocal forest of mangrove decent used as a material of teaching biology inhighschool 4 Muhammadiyah Langsa on material diversity of biological .
