ETHNOMATIC EXPLORATION IN DANCE SILAMPARI KAYANGAN TINGGI UNIB Abstract Ethnomathematics is used to express the relationship between culture and mathematics. Ethnomathematics is formed from habits that are often carried out and then mixed with local environmental traditions in the form of mathematical practices. Like the dance of South Sumatra, namely the Silampari kayangan tinggi dance. The creator of the Silampari Kayangan Tinggi dance did not realize that he had applied mathematical activities and mathematical concepts as the basis for the formation of the beauty of the dance. This study aims to determine the ethnomathematical activities and mathematical concepts that exist in the dance movement of Silampari Kayangan Tinggi. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The data obtained in this study were interviews. Observation, and documentation. The data validity technique used in this research is method triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that in every dance movement of Silampari Kayangan Tinggi applies counting activities by adjusting the beat and in dance movements Silampari Kayangan Tinggi applies measuring activities when changing places to adjust the next floor pattern change. The concept of one-dimensional geometry, two-dimensional geometry, and reflection geomatri transformation. The conclusion of this study is that in the Silampari Kayangan Tinggi dance moves there are mathematical activities and mathematical concepts.
