Application of online learning through zoom cloud meeting with an ethnomathematical-based inquiry approach in lectures on basic concepts of geometry and measurement at the PGSD study program at Bengkulu University Program Studi PGSD, Universitas Bengkulu, Jl. WR Supratman, Kota Bengkulu 38122, Indonesia Abstract This study aims to describe an online ethnomathematical-based inquiry learning model using the Zoom cloud meeting application in lectures on the basic concepts of geometry and measurement. This study also measures students understanding of concepts about the perimeter and area of squares, rectangles and triangles. This research uses action research method. Action research procedures are: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The research instruments were in the form of student comprehension test sheets and lecture activity observation sheets. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the lecture process went well. All indicators on the recovery observation sheet have appeared. Students have also been able to analyze ethnomathematics in real life as a learning resource for the perimeter and area of squares, rectangles, and triangles. The ethnomathematics identified include traditional houses, musical instruments, special foods and historical buildings. The results of the students concept understanding ability test are in the good category showing an average score of 87 Keywords: inquiry, ethnomathematics, geometry and measurement Topic: Mathematics Education |
