Developing Creative Thinking Skills, Attitudes and Ability to Work Scientific Through A Laboratory Work Model Based on An Authentic Research Projects a) Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Mataram, Jl. Majapahit No.62, Mataram 83125, Indonesia Abstract This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of laboratory activities conducted through authentic research projects to develop creative thinking skills, scientific attitudes and scientific work skills of students in high school biology learning. The research subjects were 67 students of class X MIPA from one of the public high schools in Mataram, NTB divided into 34 students as the experimental class who carried out with a Biology laboratory work model based on an authentic research projects and 33 other students with verification laboratory work model. Creative thinking skills were assessed using a creative thinking skills test prepared by the researcher. Tests were administered before and after the intervention. Scientific attitude is assessed using the observation method and scientific work ability is assessed using self and peer assessment instruments. The results showed that a Biology laboratory work model based on an authentic research projects encourages creative thinking skills, stimulates scientific attitudes and students^ scientific work abilities. It is concluded that a Biology laboratory work model based on an authentic research projects provides insight into how the authentic research project encourages creative thinking, shows benefits in instilling scientific attitudes, and improves students^ scientific work skills. This laboratory work model has the potential to be applied to encourage the development of scientific creativity and teach students research skills.
