Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics learning approach using animated videos on the ability to think creatively and mathematical representation of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis using Ancova test. The samples of this study were students of SMP Negeri 2 Bengkulu City, namely grades VIII B and VIII C. The results showed that (1) There was an effect of Ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics learning using animated videos on creative thinking skills (2) Achievement of creative thinking skills taught by Realistic Mathematics learning based on Ethnomathematics by using animated videos is better than the achievement of creative thinking skills taught by conventional learning models.
