STUDENTS WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN LEARNING BASIC PHYSICS USING VIRTUAL LAB-BASED VIDEO TUTORIALS Program Studi S1 Pendidikan IPA FKIP Universitas Bengkulu Abstract This classroom action research aims to improve student^s written communication skills on the aspects of skills to represent information and data in the basic physics course through learning physics using virtual lab-based video tutorials. The research was conducted in three learning cycles, each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects consisted of 26 students of the Science Education Study Program who took the Basic Physics Subject for 2020/2021. The research instrument was a sheet of information and data representation skills test (KRID). The impact of the treatment was described through the average test score and the level of effectiveness of using virtual lab-based video tutorials. Based on the KRID pretest and posttest scores, it is known that the mean N-gain of students is in the Medium category in the first cycle, and the High category in the second and third cycles. The number of students who achieved the N-gain in the High category in cycle III has reached more than 75%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that physics learning using virtual lab-based video tutorials has high effectiveness in increasing student KRID.
