Abstract
This study aimed to produce a model for developing coco fiber agroindustry in the Padang Pariaman Regency. One of the driving factors for developing coco fiber agroindustry is the large amount of coco fiber that is not useful. Determining the strategy for developing coco fiber agroindustry, selecting raw material sources, determining potential locations, production planning models, and financial feasibility analysis. That is a significant factor in the development of the coco fiber agroindustry. The results showed that the strategy developed based on the SWOT method is through horizontal integration. The coco fiber agroindustry cooperates with the coconut processing industry as a source of supply of coco fiber. Analysis of the selection of raw material sources using the Exponential Comparison Method (MPE) stated that IKM Copra was the chosen source of raw materials. Sungai Limau sub-district became the selected factory location based on the gravity location model method. Based on financial analysis and production planning, the total cost of production is Rp.46,410,337, with an NPV of Rp.96,693,192, IRR of 11.2%, B/C Ratio of 1.4406, BEP of 137,975 Kg, and PBP for four years 0 months nine days, and the decision to develop coco fiber agroindustry is feasible.
