Abstract
Owing to their distinctive features and remarkable diversity, Nudibranchs have turned into highly popular marine creatures in the scuba diving world and during Underwater Macro Photography activities. This growing popularity is possible to spread to other communities, in particular as part of the efforts to protect and conserve the environment. By establishing Nudibranchs as cultural objects, and part of the urban culture, the popularity of Nudibranchs can reach the wider society. This, in turn, would bring a positive impact into the scuba diving world, while also indirectly contributing to the marine life protection and conservation efforts, in particular of the deep sea of Indonesia. Illustration is used as the medium because, as a visual artifact, it is considered to be having quite reliable and broad visual communication capabilities and possessing such flexibility that allows for further expressions in other visual communication applications.
