ONLINE LEARNING ACCEPTANCE MODEL OF INDONESIAN STUDENTS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) concept proposed by Davis et al. (1989) to be adopted on online learning in higher education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to identify the impact of attitude toward use on behavioral intention, perceived usefulness on behavioral intention, perceived ease of use on attitude toward use, perceived usefulness on attitude toward use, perceived ease of use on perceived usefulness. The quantitative method is applied in this study to answer the research question. This study used a non-probability sampling method with using purposive sampling to collect the representative data samples. The online survey was used as a method of data collection. As many as 378 data samples were collected, and 353 data sample that deserves to be analyzed. Data collected was analyzed by using SEM-AMOS. The result finds that attitude toward use has no significant impact on behavior intention. Perceived usefulness has a positive and significant effect on behavior intention. Perceived ease of use has no significant impact on attitude toward use. Perceived usefulness has a positive and significant impact on attitude toward use. Perceived ease of use has a positive and significant impact on perceived usefulness. The result of this study contributes to the body of knowledge and gives some practical recommendations on this research.
