Abstract
Digital literacy is a knowledge base that is supported by correlated information technology. Digital literacy can facilitate various access to technology-based information in human life through digital media. Technological developments to date certainly affect social and cultural changes that are increasingly fast. The closeness between humans and digital media certainly brings enormous changes along with the times. The progress of science and technology is able to deliver human life globally. Research or studies on digital literacy in Indonesia are still lacking. Positive and good digital literacy can open wider, global, and unlimited access to information. Digital literacy will help humans to think critically, communicate, and create works. Thus, the development of the quality of the education sector can be improved. This type of research is a literature study research. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of digital literacy in education.
