Abstract
Abstract
Objective: Evaluating the factors associated with length of stay in insured patients based on the top 5 diseases of Indonesian Regional Hospital.
Method: This is a descriptive analytic study with a retrospective study approach. A total of 205 respondents used purposive sampling technique and the instrument used was a checklist sheet.
Results: The distribution of LOS more than 10 days was 1.1% in the internal medicine ward (p = 0.000). Type of diabetes mellitus has a LOS more than 10 days 9.5%. Age shows a p value of 0.019. The LOS varied based on the nursing problems experienced by the patients and nursing interventions undertaken for the patients.
Conclusion: LOS can be found in the elderly, internal wards and types of diabetes mellitus.
