Abstract
Objective: Nonepithelial ovarian cancer is a rare disease with poor prognosis. The aim of present study was to analyze the survivals of patients with nonepithelial ovarian cancer based on patients characteristics and treatments in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Method: This study used observational cohort design by collecting data from medical records (characteristics and treatments) of the patients whose pathology result was nonepithelial ovarian cancer at Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital and Ibnu Sina Hospital from January 2015 until June 2020.
Result: Among 498 cases of ovarian cancer, there were 24 cases of nonepithelial ovarian cancer. No variables were significantly associated with the recent status (died or alive) of these patients by multivariate analysis. Survival of these patients was then analyzed with Kaplan Meier method and the only variable associated with better survival was patients underwent chemotherapy.
