Abstract
Social distancing policies and limited economic activity during the COVID-19 Pandemic was hit the economies of rural and urban informal workers in West Java. The purpose this study are to know the diferent response informal workers in rural and urban faced that pandemic. Using descriptive qualitative method and collecting data with the questionare and indepth interview to 136 responden, the result are the economic activity in the rural was not so disrupted, but their income dropped dramatically because of the decrease in demand. They haven^t enough saving and asset so they worried about continuity to bought food and non-food, and their family educations. Meanwhile in urban areas, their economic activities were disrupted so the must change the activities to survive. However they have more saving and aset, so the ability to bougth food and non food, or continuity their family education is better than in rural area.
