Abstract

The purpose of this study was to answer public concerns about the impact of pornographic media on children. This research describes how children can access, reasons for accessing and consequences of access. The method used is descriptive quantitative by exploring pornographic behavior in children. Data collection involved 718 high school students as respondents from four cities, namely Bandung, Pekanbaru, Denpasar, and Yogyakarta. The results showed that children who had been exposed to pornography reached 96.1 percent and most of them saw through cellphones. The result of frequently viewing pornographic content is that children feel anxious, often fantasize, decline in learning achievement, are addicted to watching, are addicted to pornography, are aggressive or angry, like to talk obscene, want to have sexual intercourse, and some have even had free sex. or sexual harassment. Children can be exposed to pornography from the age of 10, which most of them see when they are in their own homes. This condition means that parental supervision of the use of the internet by children is still lacking. Children are physically close to their parents, but the internet can browse without limits and separate communication between children and parents.
