Abstract
Nowadays, it is very rare for Sundanese children to use Sundanese as their daily language of communication. This is due to the lack of fun teaching Sundanese for children. Therefore, parents and teachers must introduce Sundanese with techniques that are fun and following the child^s development. This study used a quasi-experimental method, namely trying out the igel mang Koko with the accompaniment of kecapi music directly to the experimental class and comparing it with the control class that did not use igel as a Sundanese literacy learning technique. The results showed that Sundanese literacy through igel mang koko can improve literacy skills of Sundanese in early childhood as proven by a significant difference between the mean posttest scores of the experimental class and the control class in igel ability at the 95% confidence level. So igel mang Koko can be an interesting, fun and meaningful alternative to learning Sundanese for children.
