Abstract
Lack of awareness of the community in maintaining the cleanliness of the surrounding environment causes a disaster. Baleendah District, Bandung Regency is one of the areas that experiences floods every year. Therefore, residents need to know the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the surrounding environment in order to reduce the adverse effects of floods that hit the settlements. The insight into how important it is to maintain cleanliness through the da^wah route is one important thing. Moreover, the majority of residents are Muslim. Therefore, preachers as propagators of Islamic da^wah messages are required to not only convey religious messages, but also issues related to people^s daily lives from a religious perspective. This paper is based on the study of public speaking in the context of Islamic da^wah. Using descriptive quantitative research methods with respondents from prospective preachers who joined the Indonesian Ulama Council in Baleendah District, Bandung Regency. The aim is to reveal the knowledge and understanding of preachers about the rhetoric of da^wah, ethics and aesthetics of preaching, to protect the environment from an Islamic perspective, and to become memorable speakers. Thus, it is hoped that prospective preachers in conveying their da^wah will first learn about issues that occur in the surrounding environment, one of which is the issue of annual floods, so that the message of da^wah can touch the real problems of society and help provide solutions to these problems.
