Abstract

One of the infectious diseases is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) which is a priority target for prevention and eradication. In the work area of Kadipaten CHC Unit in 2019 incidence of dengue fever was 41 cases, compared to only 19 cases in 2018. This study aims to determine the relationship between the knowledge of the head of the family about dengue fever and the implementation of the prevention of dengue fever in the work area of the UPTD Puskesmas Kadipaten, Majalengka Regency in 2020. Knowing the relationship between the Head of family Knowledge on Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever and the Implementation of Dengue Fever Prevention in the Work Area of Kadipaten Community Health Center Unit, Majalengka Regency in 2019 is the aim of the research. This research method using descriptive correlative with cross sectional design. All heads of family in the work area of Kadipaten CHC Unit in 2019, namely 14,802 heads of families are the population, with a sample of 99 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling. Univariate data were analyzed using frequency distribution, while bivariate data used Chi Square with &#945- = (0.05). In this study, the results of more than half the respondents (53.5%) were not good in the implementation of the prevention of dengue fever in the work area of Kadipaten Community Health Center Unit, Majalengka Regency in 2019 and a small proportion (14.1%) of respondents in the work area of Kadipaten Community Health Center Unit, Majalengka Regency in 2019 had less knowledge. There was a relationship between the knowledge of the head of family and the implementation of dengue fever prevention in the work area of Kadipaten Community Health Center Unit, Majalengka Regency in 2019 with a p value of (0.000).
