Analysis of Damage to The Induce Draft Fan Component at PLTU PT. XYZ Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Muhammadiyah Cileungsi Abstract Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is a type of power plant that is widely used by the State Electricity Company (PLN) to meet national electricity needs, which is expected to reduce dependence on Diesel Power Plants (PLTD). PT. Coal-fired XYZ with an installed capacity of 1x15 MW and a production target of 10 MW for utilities and 5 MW for wood processing had an Availability Hour of 82.9% and Unavailability of 17.1% during the January to December 2013 period. Unavailability of 17.1% occurred either due to disturbances, inspections, and improvements to the generating unit system. Based on field findings, an outage occurs due to damage to brush generator that has been discontinued so that it needs fabrication and causes downtime for 32 days and repetitive failure on the IDF (Induce Draft Fan) which is used by the plant maintenance team to move the bottom ash. To determine the actions to improve the performance of the generating unit, an analysis of the main causes of IDF damage, as well as financial losses arising. It is expected that the main cause of the outage in the generating unit system is expected to be found corrective measures to increase the reliability and productivity of the generating unit Keywords: Steam Power Plant, Availability Hour, Unavailability, Improvements Topic: Engineering and Technology |
