A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON THE RESILIENCE OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN JAKARTA Psychology Department - Binus University Abstract When the COVID-19 pandemic happened, learning that was conventionally done face-to-face was made to take place online and social life took a different shape because of several social measures in place such as social distancing, restrictions on gatherings and the likes. As a result, for students, this meant it required them to have a high level of resilience to face various kinds of pressure and challenges to be able to maintain their productivity as students and adapt to changes. The present study described university students^ resilience in Jakarta. The Resilience Assessment Tool-43 (RAT-43) was used- it measured resilience by using a 7-point likert scale. 232 university students in Jakarta participated. The study^s results showed that university students in Jakarta had high resilience, which indicated they had the ability to adapt with changes related to the pandemic. The Core Self dimension had the highest frequency compared to other dimensions in the RAT-43.
